The style is known as the Austrian neoclassical style, or "Alt Deutsch" (ca 1880-1910) meaning old German. Influenced by ancient Greek and Roman aesthetics, this piece has neoclassic elements of symmetry, straight lines, rectangles and classical motifs such as the solid wood columns and raised paneling. It has its original brass fittings and lock, which is working and has a key. Although armoires were originally designed to hold hunting rifles, this armoire's generous storage capacity helps keep your space organized and clutter-free, while its durable construction ensures lasting beauty and functionality for years to come.
