Young man crayon photograph from the early 20th C. This photographic technique was invented in 1860, and
popular until the early 20th C. for sitters who could not afford a portrait painting. Crayon was applied over the
photograph, and often an oval bubble frame was used. This piece is all original, you can see from the back
that the nails are original and have not been moved. Intact pieces from the 19th C. are becoming harder
to find. He has a little symbol or motif on his lapel. On the back there is a date stamp of April 20, 1926 (mid Roaring
20's).
