A 1978 metal kinetic sculpture by the American artist Joseph A. Burlini (b.1937). Signed and dated to the wooden base, the sculpture exhibits a tall slender body with a circular top and u-shaped rings circling it which rock back and forth when touched. The sculpture tapers to an orange ball at its bottom and is attached to a white piece of acrylic and a wooden base.
Joseph Burlini attended the Art Institute of Chicago and is a self-taught welder and sculptor. He is widely known for designing and creating monumental outdoor sculptures for both public and private spaces including The Pentagon, Walt Disney Studios, and Michael Jordan's home. less
