This striking fixture features a molded mushroom-form … more A 1970s Italian ‘Quadrifoglio’ pendant light designed by Gae Aulenti for Harvey Guzzini. This striking fixture features a molded mushroom-form acrylic shade in a milky white hue. The shade is elegantly supported by four inset polished chrome tubular rods, complemented by the original domed chrome canopy. An interior chrome reflector softly balances light when illuminated. Unmarked. Sourced in Italy, 1970s.

Gae Aulenti (1927-2012) was a prolific Italian architect, art director and product designer renowned for her post-war style and industrial designs. She was the art director of Fontana Arte and designed a range of modern, innovative pieces. Aulenti was one of few women in the field at the time and is regarded as one of the most iconic figures in Italian design and architecture.

Condition: Good overall vintage condition. Light scuffs throughout and minor oxidation in areas along the chrome surface. Retains original canopy. A cord gripper has been fabricated by our team of restorationists. This pendant was professionally rewired for U.S. use and accepts one E26 bulb. less
