The plate is circular in shape with a scallop like trim. It is decorated in one of Mason's most vividly colored and sought after patterns - The Flying Bird pattern. Flowers surround the stunning hand painted bird in the center.

The pattern would have been transfer printed; and then hand-painted in bold enamels, with additional hand gilded detail.

Makers mark on the underside indicate this plate was made sometime in the late 1800s to early 1900s. less
