Antique shipping lantern. Heavy copper. Mid to late 1800s oil lantern with wick. The lever on the side allows an internal aperture to be opened and closed to create a flashing light signal. The copper has a beautiful texture and patina due to age. It appears the glass on the front has been restored as welding can be seen around the edges.
Excellent antique condition. A fantastic collector's piece. Height" 14". less
