This striking oak secretary is an elegant statement piece crowned with an elaborate carved pediment and decorative skirt.
The secretary has been given a professional custom teal green/blue layered/striated painted finish which has been gently distressed to reveal the original oak underneath, adding both dimension and character to this bureau.
Please examine photos to appreciate the multi-layered colors in the finish with tones of green, blue and gray depending on lighting.
The middle section (with contrasting antique white painted interior) is the traditional desk which includes multiple petite drawers that are revealed when the desk top is opened, resting on two extending arms.
The upper section has 2 cabinet doors which opens to reveal a central shelf and 6 interior drawers and a central cabinet or cubbie. The upper small shelf originally served as a spoon rack for fine silver. The lock for upper exterior door functions and original key is included.
The lower three drawers open using a key as pull. Desk top does not have functioning lock.
This painted secretary is restored, solid/stable and ready to be used. It is built in two sections allowing for easier transportation and installation.
All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation(back, drawer bottoms) are reflective of age/use and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this striking secretary.
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.
