The pair of tables came from Zhejiang/Jiangsu Provinces in Southeast China. They date to the late 19 to early 20 Century. The mahogany color lacquer is verytypical of the furniture produced in the area. The square table top is mounted with a finely woven mat protected by a wood frame. The open apron has a bridge stretcher and a decorative carving is inserted in the middle, on all four sides. The legs end in hoof feet.
These tables are versatile. They can be extra seating or extra tables. less
