This rare WMF EPERGNE centerpiece in this absolutely gorgeous gondola design is a stunning addition to any Art Deco collection.
Made of silver plate, this piece exudes elegance and sophistication. The intricate details and unique design make it a conversation starter at any dinner party.
Perfect for collectors or those who appreciate the beauty of antique silver plate.
Absolutely rare to find with the actual glass inserts.
Condition
In good vintage age appropriate condition. Small age appropriate imperfections are to be expected with vintage pieces and add to their charm. Some plate loss on the center upper piece. This in my opinion adds to the charm and gives it more dimension!

History of WMF
Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF) is a German company that has been manufacturing and designing metalware, including silver-plated tableware, since the 1850s. The company's history includes:
1853
Daniel Straub and the Schweizer brothers establish the metal works Metallwarenfabrik Straub & Schweizer in Geislingen an der Steige, Germany. The company specializes in mill turbines and wins a gold medal at the 1862 World Exhibition in London for its silver-plated tableware and serving dishes.
1866
The company becomes Straub & Sohn.
1880
Straub & Sohn merges with Ritter & Co., a luxury item producer, to form WMF and begins to specialize in tableware and silver.
1905
WMF expands by purchasing Orovit A.G. and at its peak employs 6,000 people.
1910
WMF is granted exclusive rights to take a cast of the original "Gates of Paradise" doors, which it uses to create a reproduction for exhibition at the 1913 International Building Trades Exhibition in Leipzig.
