This 1980s rattan and bamboo lounge chair and ottoman by Japanese craftsman Yuzuru Yamakawa is one of those rare statement pieces you’ll use constantly because it’s just that comfortable. The curved headrest and armrests were thoughtfully designed to provide the perfect amount of support whether you want to cozy up with a book, catch up on the news, or take a well-earned nap. Yamakawa dedicated more than half of his 79 years to perfecting the art of rattan furniture making, a fact that becomes abundantly clear the moment you sink into this chair.
