An interesting birch side table from the 1800’s. The top has an inset framed colorful marquetry cartouche of a bird on a branch. The marquetry consists of many types of marble, satinwood and ebony. Ebonized banding follows the contours of the table and contrasts with the burl birch. Squared and tapered legs connect to a stretcher shelf and end with brass sabots.
