Writer, designer and society chronicler, Philippe Jullian (1919-1977) has, as usual, himself illustrated this astonishing journey through the centuries, seen through the eyes of a shepherdess born at the end of 1759 "at the illustrious carpenter Tillard, supplier to the Court, under the sign of Armes de France". Such an illustrious birth made her proud of her origins and aware of the high destiny that awaited her.
