Gijsbert Hanekroot (Brussels, 1945) began his career in 1969 and worked for magazines and newspapers in the 1970s. His career as a photojournalist fits perfectly into the explosion of the rock scene. He masterfully documented the golden age of music history and photographed many of the era's greatest icons. Hanekroot worked to capture footage that revealed the person behind the musician. The result is natural and intimate portraits, relaxed and sincere. And in dazzling concert photographs.
