This design was produced in the mid 20th century for luxury brand Cartier and likely produced in Sevres France. .While our bookends do not hold the Cartier etched logo, the material and scale are identical to the Cartier model.

Note: Ralph Lauren has produced a similar bookends, the Tyler Bookends. When found, our pair included green felt tabs for surface protection on the bottom. These felt tabs were very aged, circa 1950s to 1960s, proof our set is in fact vintage and not new production.

The shape is best described as a wedge shaped prism with a cylindrical hole down the center. Can be oriented multiple ways and would be suitable for holding both large and small books.
Each measures 6.25" long, is 4.25" wide, and 4.5" in height. less
