Description: 19th c French landscape painting, featuring cattle grazing in a field. Artist signature on the bottom right corner, signed Engvan … more 19th c French landscape painting, featuring cattle grazing in a field. Artist signature on the bottom right corner, signed Engvan Mazck (somewhat illegible). The reverse has a watermark type seal, perhaps from the original framing. While the artist work is unknown, the talent and provenance of the work is evident from the framing and presentation.

This piece has been professionally restored to preserve it to heirloom quality.. A backing has been applied, with a clear window to allow the watermark to show through. Frame repair was done, significantly to one corner, and the canvas was professionally repaired where there were previous interventions. Craquelure is present due to the age, however previous varnish has been removed to allow the painting to shine brighter, making the craquelure appear less visible.
