Exquisitely hand-crafted in France in the mid-20th century, exceptionally executed in luxurious Neoclassical inspired Louis 16th taste, topped with the original dramatically veined calacatta viola marble, resting on a solid mahogany case, featuring exotic highly figured pommele panels framed by gilt metal beaded trim, having a single frieze drawer with quality dovetail joinery, over open bookshelf / display with adjustable shelves, flanked by fluted column posts, rising on gilt brass collar mounted tapering fluted legs, terminating in brass sabots.
