The … more Hans Wegner "Baby Bear Lounge Chair" manufactured by AP Stolen 1950s in Denmark. The artisans did everything by hand. The upholstery was handstitched together. Tacks were hand nailed as evidenced by photo. Hand stamped Hans J Wegner as well as A P Stolen Copenhagen. Referred to as "Baby Bear" as part of Wegner's family of chairs (Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear). The chair was sourced from a New Haven County estate sale.
Chair was very dirty when purchased. The teak wood arms and legs were cleaned, then Danish oil was applied. The pillow was too far gone. So I replaced it with the notion of choice. I produced two reversible pillows. I prefer the black faux fur with the geometric black and white print which reminds me of Verner Panton. The other seat cushion is white faux fur along with a red polychrome post modern print. I had upholsterer save remnants of original pillow. less
