A watercolor painting by the American artist Virginia Brooks (1925-2021). This colorful work depicts a display of kitchen pots, pans, and kettles. A brown and white cat washes it's face in the left foreground of the painting. Signed to the lower right, the painting is unframed.
Born in Cincinnati, Brooks studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy as well as the Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she received her undergraduate degree in in Art Education. She was a member of the American Watercolor Society, the Midwest Watercolor Society, and the Cincinnati Women's Art Club.
