Hand carved softwood frame, gold painted, frontal panel layered with black velvet, application in the form of stars and hearts. Mildly cleaned and retouched to match overall patina, all parts original to the piece including velvet. The use of luxurious fabric and decor in form of stars is clearly influenced by the French Empire style. See less
