The artist or manufacturer of this sculpture is unknown but this piece is believed to be designed and produced in former Czechoslovakia. In the 1960's this bird motive was particularly popular in the Scandinavian countries, mainly in Denmark and its possible that it has influenced this piece as well.

This is outstanding, wonderful piece in a perfectly crafted form, sculptural, but with very clean, expressive lines depicting the form of the animal. The sculpture is made of teak wood and is standing on a plastic see-through stand in a shape of an extruding sharp angled rectangle. This detail actually just underlines the whole dynamic of the form and its outstanding execution.

This sculpture is in great original condition. There is only some minor wear on the plastic base gained over the years. See less
