Oil on canvas, 1965, signed and dated lower right and presented in a simple wood frame.
Amen is known as an important American printmaker. He was born in New York City and received a scholarship to the Pratt Institute when he was fourteen years old. During his career, he headed and executed mural projects in the United States and Belgium. His first exhibitions in woodcut was held at the New School for Social Research and the Smithsonian Institute in 1949.
