This striking cabinet features seven graduated drawers and open display shelves, all mounted on wheels for easy mobility.
Concept: The design of the cabinet is inspired by the Fibonacci sequence, showcasing a harmonious blend of form and function.
Design Details: Oren employs angular cuts, transitioning from a front edge of 30° to a back edge of 60°, resulting in a unique extruded trapezoidal shape. Each cabinet's depth aligns with the Fibonacci sequence, creating a visually intriguing and mathematically inspired piece.
The cabinet's design allows for both exposed and concealed storage, maximizing versatility.
Designer’s Description:
"I designed this work to be created using a CNC machine but ultimately resorted to hand-cutting due to not having completed the required course at the time. Ambitious as it may seem, my initial assignment was simply to create a cabinet with one drawer. My teacher had his doubts about whether I would finish on time. I not only completed my project early but also assisted a classmate with theirs."
