Famille Noir refers to the black background, however this background is beautifully hand painted with pastel colored peonies and birds. The top rim is also decorated with florals.
This planter could be used indoors or outdoors. Be aware that there is a drainage hole so if used indoors it needs a saucer ( not included).
There is a mark on the bottom which is probably the signature of the painter.
The outside width is 9”, but the inside opening is 7”. less
