The painting harks back to the pictorial ways of Francesco Foschi (1710 -1780), an author specialized in landscapes and who widely spread the taste for winter ones. In this we have a glimpse of a mountain landscape, with a village located in a valley under peaks rocky and snowy. Even the houses and meadows are sprinkled with snow, which is absent on the path followed by numerous figures; the rosy atmosphere of the sky evokes the beginning of a new day, already bustling with activity. The painting has been restored and relined. It is presented in a mid-20th century frame. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
