Super rare model 249 adjustable black table lamp designed by tito agnoli for oluce in italy in 1956. You can adjust and rotate it to shine light exactly where you want. Hardly seen on the market. Elegant, decorative and practical lamp. Notably are the typical oluce joints. Made of black painted aluminium and nickel plated joints. In original condition with some wear due to age and usage. Because of the rarity of this light we chose to keep it original, refinishing is possible upon request. Tito agnoli was born into an italian family, in lima, peru, in 1931. He came to italy after the war. Trained as a painter (having studied with sironi), in 1949 he enrolled in the faculty of architecture, where he graduated in 1959 and was assistant to gio ponti and to carlo de darli. However, even in the early fifties, he was already carrying out an intense professional activity in the field of design. He has created projects for, among others, arflex, cinova, lema, matteo grassi, molteni, montina, oluce, pierantonio bonacina, poltrona frau, schiffini, ycami. Several times recommended for the compasso d’oro (golden compass) award, in 1986 he won the gold medal at the neocon in chicago. Some of his pieces are kept in the permanent collection of the moma in new york. He died in milan on february 2012. Literature: o-luce di giuseppe ostuni ii thomas brauninger 2021, page 202. This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the usa. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no

however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
