Made of colourful glazed ceramic … more Astonishing coffee or side table designed and hand-made by Rolando Hettner in Italy in 1950s. Made of colourful glazed ceramic shaped like an ocean plant or coral. from the top, you'll see two circles and an infinity shape in the middle, all smoothly sculpted to the three freeform feet. The vibrant colours include ocean blue, sky blue, gold/orange like a sunset, stone grays, and even coral pink. It really captures the atmosphere of the Mediterranean landscape. The table is finished with a round glass top. It’s more like an art piece that serves as a table. In excellent original condition. In Milan, Hettner worked as an illustrator for the magazine of ElioVittorini, called "II Politecnico", but the salary was so meager it was necessary to find work elsewhere. When an important manufacturer of ceramics at the factory Gabbianelli, offered him a job he accepted it. This allowed him to work in an area of art that he had learned in Germany, prior to studying to be a painter. Due to the deprivations of the exile and his clandestine activities, he was eventually forced to abandon this promising activity when he was diagnosed with tuberculosis. After spending some months in a Sanatorium in Cernusco, he settled down with José Repuzzi near Como, where they bought an old flour mill and transformed it into a ceramics factory. In the fifties, after he had received his Italian citizenship, he was considered one of the best ceramists in Italy, and in the 1951 he was conferred a gold medal of the Triennial of Milan. In 1958, he wrote a section for the magazine "La Ceramica" (The Ceramic) called, "I consigli di Hettner" (The Advice of Hettner), which addressed the new generation of Italian Ceramicists. Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).
- On approved returns, the buyer is responsible for the full cost of return packing and shipping.
Cancellations
- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.
- Please notify us within 24 hours of purchase if you would like to cancel an order, as prompt cancellation will reduce the likelihood that you will incur return shipping charges.
- Once shipping or pickup has been initiated, the cancellation will be considered a return and you will be responsible for the cost of shipping.

- Chairish Express In-Home Delivery
- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.

- Chairish In-Home Delivery
