Impressive and super rare brown Wim Rietveld Panama Wall Lamp created in 1955 by Wim Rietveld and manufactured by Gispen Culemborg in the Netherlands. Wim Rietveld, son of renowned architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld, was a talented industrial designer who inherited his father's vision for smart and efficient designs. The Panama lamp, also known as model no. 4050, is one of Wim Rietveld's most iconic industrial creations. It comes in four versions: ceiling pendant, wall lamp, table lamp, and floor lamp, all featuring the same shade design, almost like a modular concept. This particular wall lamp boasts a stunning original and rare brown finish, making it truly distinctive. What sets it apart is the original polyester diffuser, which is missing in the majority of these lamps. The diffuser effectively blocks direct light, providing a comfortable and ambient illumination. It is securely attached inside the shade using three small metal hooks. It features an ingenious adjustable system that allows for easy positioning using the red key on the wall plate. This unique technique ensures the lamp's stability even when positioned horizontally. with its versatile design, the shade can be directed upwards, and the arm swivels, offering various lighting possibilities.
