The … more The iconic Delfino lounge chairs, designed by Erberto Carboni for Artflex in 1955, stand as iconic pieces of furniture. The original early versions of these chairs showcase beautifully patinated brass feet, retaining their original shape and charm. The armrests, which almost feel like fins, are held by two joints made visible by round brass end caps. The chairs offer ultimate relaxation, also the backrest embraces you as if you’re floating on water. The name "Delfino," meaning dolphin in Italian, perfectly captures the chair's distinctive shape, which resembles the elegant aquatic creature. Erberto Carboni's Delfino armchair represents a significant example of "organic" furniture, a style that emerged in the 1950s, drawing inspiration from the graceful forms found in nature. The fact that Carboni began his career as a graphic designer and illustrator can emphatically be seen in this design. Upholstered in a soft and flat Italian Bouclé fabric in a sophisticated shade of grey, the Delfino lounge chairs exude both comfort and elegance.
