This impressive pair of model 'uchiwa iii' wall lights was designed by ingo maurer for his own company design m … more This impressive pair of model 'uchiwa iii' wall lights was designed by ingo maurer for his own company design m in munich, germany during the 1970s. These poetic design lamps are part of the uchiwa lighting series with lamps of different sizes and designs, each piece is hand-made and based on the idea of the traditional japanese uchiwa fans which are made from rice paper and bamboo. Both lamps are in very good original condiiton and were originally connected to a lighting system. One lamp has a switch on the cable. It is recommended to rewire both lamps. You can see the adhesive residue of the two square label stickers from 'design m - ingo maurer' on the black tapes (see last detail picture).
