A substantial, stone lithograph still-life showing a view of a mandolin laying on a table beside a white ceramic jug and bowl with pears, grapes and plums.

This noted landscape painter, graphic artist and professor of drawing was born in the Somme and studied first at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs and, subsequently, at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts.

Langlet exhibited with success at many of the Parisian annual exhibitions including the Salon des Artistes Francaises, the Salon des Independents, the National Society of Fine Arts, as well as the Salon of the Witnesses of their Time where he was the recipient of numerous prizes and juried awards.
