This is a fabulous antique French twist candle holder. It could also hold an ashtray or a smaller plant pot. Hand-carved from turned oak in the early 1900s, it is 24.5" high which means it can free stand on the floor, or also sit on a desk or low table. And just as it is, it makes a wonderful accent piece.
The stand is 24.5" tall x 7.5" diameter at its base. The top "tray" where the candle is placed has a slot that is suitable for a candle up to 3 1/4" in diameter.
It weighs approximately 1lb 14ozs.
Great decorative piece for someone looking to finish off a room or project.

- This stand show signs of age and wear as all great vintage items do. It has surface wear in places. … moreThis stand show signs of age and wear as all great vintage items do. It has surface wear in places. It has some minor old wax on it (on base, see pic) which can be removed with care. There is a shallow approx 2" scratch in the base (see pic) - its strength is not compromised. It should be noted however that this stand is relatively light and the twisted neck sways a little. It is fine to hold a candle, ashtray or a small plant pot, but I would not advise putting heavy objects on it. Examine all the pictures closely. Zoom in & out to get a good sense of its exact condition: a picture tells a thousand words. The item photos serve as a document as to its condition.
