This great old restored three drawer commode (we have additionally carefully cleaned the surface) impresses with its fantastic walnut/ nutwood veneered surface, arranged in an absolute gorgeous looking manner. The mirrormatched front shows an amazing grain, flowing down from top to the base like a waterfall. Artfully handcarved wooden applications made out of solid nutwood on top of the slightly slanted front edges, a beautifully designed top plate and the elegantly curved small feet confer this 19th century Biedermeier commode a real exceptional look. The original locks are fully functional and all drawers running super smoothly. Sealed with a traditional hand-polished shellac finish, this lovely shaped, timeless Biedermeier commode/ chest of drawers is additionally adorned by the still original, round brass fittings. A great sized piece of Biedermeier furniture coming in great old restored condition. Some older restoration marks can be seen but these won´t affect the beauty of this antique Biedermeier chest of drawers in any way, much more in confers this piece a truly unique charme. less
