Her design studio, … more Lizzie Derriey was a contemporary of the Hungarian-American designer Victor Vasarely who spearheaded the Op art movement. Her design studio, which was operational from 1928-1994, was a creative co-operative that employed up to 25 artists. The studio made fabric designs for top couturiers of the day including Yves Saint Laurent, Jean Patou, and Givenchy. This piece is unsigned as was typical of the artwork produced by the studio. The framing was done with UV protective plexiglass.

This gouache on paper fabric design is in very good original condition.
