Richard Soderman began drawing at the age of four and had his first one man show at the age of 14. At 17, he was offered a five year scholarship to study art in Europe. Unable to take advantage of this opportunity, he became a successful commercial artist. In 1965, he once more turned his attention to fine art, devoting himself to painting full time. He exhibited widely and with success including at the Festival of Arts and the Laguna Beach Art Association and was a member of the National Watercolor Society. less
