These lamps … more This is a beautiful tall pair of retro, MCM lamps which feature metal scrollwork and avocado green panels. These lamps have 3 way switches, so you can light up the top, or the bottom, or both at the same time. These lamps are absolutely stunning! They have just light patina -- just enough to let everyone know they are authentic.

The shades are absolutely beautiful and I see no flaws -- looking at the shades' exteriors, they appear to be in perfect, like-new condition.

With these shades the lamps stand quite tall, measuring about 38 1/2" tall. The shades measure 13 1/2" diameter at the top and 15 1/2" diameter at the bottom. The metal scrollwork base measures about 9" in diameter and are shaped like hexagons. The bottoms of the lamps are felt covered, and each has a factory-cut hole, which I assume is for a small hand to reach in and change out the lower light bulb when it is time.

The only flaw, if you want to call it a flaw, is that sometimes the round knob switch on one of them has to be turned just beyond the "click" to make the light bulb on the bottom turn on.

The avocado green panels are textured and made of plexiglass. They seem to be in great condition!

I have seen these type MCM lamps called Spanish Revival style, but with the twisted metal that surround the edges and the abundance of scrollwork, someone might also consider them rustic in nature. In any case, with this style and these colors, you would be hard pressed to find a better pair of quentessential mid century modern lamps!!!

Due to the size of the shades, each shade will need to be packaged and shipped separately. They are simply too perfect and rare to risk damage. The shades appear to be made of linen, and the tops are decorated with a beautifully embroidered pattern that surrounds the top of each.

The electric cords are original and representative of the MCM period, and in excellent condition.

I will ship the lamps with the inside bulbs in place so that you should not have to worry about changing them out any time soon. less
