Black and white print by erich andres, ca 1960. A vibrant scene from miami beach, florida, captured in the 1960s, showcasing a bustling daytime view of the sandy shores crowded with sunbathers and beachgoers. The image is in black and white, highlighting the iconic oceanfront hotels in the background, such as the olsen hotel. Palm trees line the beach, and the lively atmosphere reflects the popularity of miami beach as a prime vacation destination during this era. The photo offers a snapshot of the mid-20th century coastal lifestyle, filled with people enjoying the sun, sea, and sand. Andres was born 1905 in germany and passed away 1992. He started his career as a photographer in 1920. He was one of the first photographers, who used a leica. His images today are displayed in several museums, for example in the civil war museum in salamanca, spain, the olympic museum in lausanne, switzerland, the industrial museum in oberhausen, germany. Andres was a contributor for edward steichens exhibition "the family of man" at the museum of modern art in new york in 1951. The print is new, a fine art print on high quality paper (hahnemühle) made by whitewall. It comes to you in a tube.
