This piece features a beautiful two-tiered structure with a stepped plinth base and three bun footed supports, the lower section supporting an upper cabinet with an expanded lip and two arches of glass revealing the inner shelves. This piece is highly adorned with carved detailing, beautifully precise with lovely balance of depth and form. Each of the three main vertical moments of the cabinet are spaced with carved busts, either of female portraits or lions, with brass rings suspended from the jaws. Expansive curvilinear flutes travel along the top and bottom of the piece, bringing lovely direction and presence. An impressive and beautifully made piece, this cabinet will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Jacobean to Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern Interiors.
