This mid … Read more Faux fabulous envelope with a red wax seal that is actually a metal stationery box and letter holder. This mid century gem opens at the front with a marbleized interior that mimics the inside of an old school envelope. The box stands on brass legs and offers an open slot at the back to catch stray mail. No maker’s mark though it has an Italian vibe.

The box is in good structural condition with signs of age to the finish mostly shown by yellowing to the antique white color. There are also some subtle signs of rusty patina in the crevices.

The box measures 7” wide x 6” tall x 3.75” deep altogether including the brass feet. The box on its own measures 7” wide x 5.25” tall and 1.5” deep and will fit stationery sizes accordingly. See less
