One … more This is such a great front door, featuring Spanish detailing throughout including oversized door bands and Spanish style clavos. One of the great things about this door is that it measures in at a grand 42 inches wide which gives you a great sized opening, a grand entrance for your guests when they come to visit. I love all the Spanish detailing that they’ve added along with the bead board style wood and the great Spanish hardware which I believe could be from around 1920s or 30s by looking at it it looks like it has some age. On the other side of the door features a vintage style porcelain door knob with brass finish. It features six panels and a peephole. This door is very thick and very solid, Which gives the door an extra point for security. I noticed that on the inside of the door jam where the locking mechanism is, there is a split all the way down as if somebody tried to kick the door in–but was not successful. I don’t believe that this jeopardizes the integrity of the door in any way, it still holds it durability. I can tell by looking at the white paint in the door jam that they have placed a beautiful stain on the front of the raw wood side of the door which gives it a Warm, inviting feeling. If it were me I would strip the white side of the door and do the same to the other side. less
