Offering a RARE monumental size Chinese porcelain goldfish bowl planter with wood stand, circa Mid 20th Century. This impressive planter and stand is capable of holding a large palm tree considering its size....please see dimensions below. This piece was hand painted in Macau China.
The inside has the traditional Chinese Koi fish in burnt orange with strips of green seaweed. There are a wide variety of traditional Chinese flowers, including chrysanthemums, lotus flowers and many other variety of flowers surrounding the entire circumference...some with pastel colors while others with intense colors. They are all hand-painted on top of the metallic gold background making this large jardinière sparkle from every angle....the gold really makes it even more spectacular!
EXCELLENT CONDITION. No flaws....just perfect! The new owner will be very happy about its condition inside and out. The wood base does have age related wear, mostly on the top platform.
An extra-large planter that will look great in any decor, but especially suited for a high end Luxury Palm Beach Chic, Boho Chic, Coastal or Chinoiserie interior design. Perfect for a foyer, grand room, living room or large bedroom. Mid 20th Century Chinese craftsmanship at its best!
This planter is so large that it can be used as a living room coffee table if so desired.
