CA.1880 by "Graux-Marly"...known for producing many large Public Works
that are located in Paris today.

This large size Bronze Ariadne is rarely found..probably only a few examples created....
we have seen smaller bronzes, but never found another Ariadne and the Panther
in this large size!!

The Figure is approx. 24.5" long by 29.5" high by 13" deep, and the weight
by itself is approx. 100 lbs.

This Exceptional Figure of Ariadne and The Panther was sculpted originally
by Johann H. Dannecker in White Marble for the German Banker
Simon Von Bethmann, and was placed on display in Frankfurt's first Art Museum
(Odeon) in 1856, in a special room that was built for it called the "Ariadneum",
where it still stands today ! The Original Marble piece is Life Size !

The included Custom Wood Base is approx. 27" L x 13"D x 38"H...and weighs
approx. 40 lbs.....together with this custom base the Total Height of the
sculpture is 67.5" an excellent size ! Signed on the Base (see photo).(
