Sivukhin comes from a family of prominent Soviet Russian artists.
His father was renowned artist, Timofei Sivukhin.
Yuriy graduated from Kiev Art Institute and is currently active in Mariupol, Ukraine. Sivukhin's works have been exhibited across the former Soviet Union as well as abroad.
This painting is a pastel on board. It is signed in the lower right. It is also signed on the reverse. It depicts the Siverskyi Donets River in Koropove (Ukraine).
The painting comes in a lovely frame with intricate detailing.
The inscription on the reverse is written in Cyrillic. It reads "Korobovy Khutora, Sivukhin. Y."
The bottom has a later gallery sticker indicating the artist's name and the title in English.
