A canopy of rose flowers in full bloom. This piece started from abstract play. Many layers into mark making and color exploration, I saw these pockets of soft pink and couldn't help but see a floral emerging. I thought I'd bring more white to them but the pink that wanted to come through had other plans. Varying shades of pinks, greens, teals and light blues are most prominent with hints of white highlight on the pink florals.
