Impressive double mirror came to the US from an old merchant house in Macau. The mirrors are feature am abundance of hand carved details – and if look closely, you can spot both Chinese and Portuguese influences. The top shell motif is flanked by a cascade of flowers, vines, foliage as well as scrolls and other shells.
This mirror hung above our dining room fireplace mantel for over 30 years. Purchased through the interior designer, Kevin Hart, it was featured in a national interior design magazine article in 2001.
Now that we are downsizing from our brownstone, we would love to find a good new home for this magnificent piece. This mirror was the centerpiece of our home and we hope that we find another family to enjoy it as much as we have. less
