Very pretty little "Shard box", vintage/old, traditional handcrafted Chinese box, composed of a fragment of old, blue and white porcelain … more Very pretty little "Shard box", vintage/old, traditional handcrafted Chinese box, composed of a fragment of old, blue and white porcelain hand-painted with plant motifs, mounted on silver-plated copper with embossed motifs. This piece has the particularity of being surmounted by a fragment of porcelain with a relief in the shape of a Foo Dog, this is a fairly rare element on this type of box which are generally created from flat elements. 8cm in length, approximately 7cm in maximum height with bottom cover of the box only 2cm in height, 6.5cm in width. Very good general condition, slightly de-silvered copper, some discreet marks of time. A manufacturing feature on the front of the Foo Dog on the lid, one of the reliefs was deliberately filed during manufacturing, this is obviously not an accident. This remains relatively discreet and can be varnished to be less visible. Very nice piece for collector. Around 500gr. less
