A table lamp made in Italy, as attested by the engraving on the leather at the base, by the company … more A table lamp made in Italy, as attested by the engraving on the leather at the base, by the company "Tecno Nova", between the 60s and 70s. This vintage table lamp has a large cylindrical shape completely covered in thick leather. For the modernist style and the use of leather, this lamp recalls the articles designed by Jacques Adnet in collaboration with Hermès, essential and linear shape, interrupted only in the center by the large buckle, and fine materials such as Italian leather. This Mid 20th century table lamp has large dimensions, only the base has a diameter of 16cm by 29cm in height but reaches with the lampshade 57cm in height by 41 in diameter which makes it perfect on a sidetable between two sofas, on a console table, or at the end of a sideboard. On this lamp we have made some improvements, such as rewiring while still maintaining the original vintage switch and the lamp holder that was completely missing when we found it. The lampshade is the only stylistic change that we have allowed ourselves on this lamp, we had it custom made by our trusted craftsman based on our design using a natural straw texture in contrast with black stitching and trimmings. The lamp works and is in good vintage condition. It shows minimal signs of use and time on the leather visible in the photos.
