An unusual vintage silk carpet, hand woven in China circa 1950 with a floral Aubusson design on a lemon field and eye catching secondary colours. Note the interesting plaited gold silk fringes. This rug would have predated the commercial weavings of the 1980s and 1990s that have similar designs.
Size: 2.43m x 1.59m (8ft x 5ft 3in)
This rug is in good original condition with light, age-related wear. Fringes and selvedges are original and secure and it has been professionally cleaned. less
