Roman school of the 17th century.The large scene, of Flemish taste, probably the work of a Nordic author who settled in Rome, is occupied by a large architectural complex, consisting of the remains of classical temples, damaged, unsafe and overgrown with weeds, placed near a lake.Instead, among the vestiges of a now-dead era, numerous colorful and animated figurines of characters from daily life coeval with the production of the painting wander.Restored and retouched, the painting is presented in a lath frame. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
