After the … more A beautiful antique circa 1910 silver plated round platter cover from the Ritz Carlton in New York City! After the success of the Ritz hotels in London and Paris, the first Ritz-Carlton Hotel in the U.S. opened in New York City in 1911. The 1910 date stamp means this is from the initial silver order for the New York City Ritz Carlton hotel, which dates this piece to the very beginnings of the Ritz Carlton here in America.

In excellent condition, no big dents or damage, just small marks and bumps/dings that you would expect from old hotel Silver that was used daily. The silverplating is in excellent condition and has polished up beautifully on the outside with some wear to the top and dark speckles inside. The cover is marked on the inside “R-Carlton” with Gorham’s date stamp for manufacture in the year 1910.

Measures approximately 13.5 inches across by 4 inches tall, made to fit a 14 inch round platter. less
