The sculpture is hand formed in terracotta red clay and derived from a series of plaster molds found in a historical archive of antique molds in the Northern Tuscany Region in Italy, possibly near Impruneta. The bust is a warm earthy red clay color and has been kiln fired and hand waxed to enhance the features and protect it from external agents. It is marked Made in Italy. less
